We recognize that the financial commitment of this program may not be accessible to everyone.
Blue Motion is currently a self-initiated project without external funding, sustained through participant contributions. At the same time, we are committed to widening access where possible.
A limited number of scholarship places and helper roles are available for participants who would otherwise be unable to attend. These are offered with care and based on both need and alignment with the program.
( Scholarships )
are designed for dedicated practitioners and artists who require financial support.
( Helper roles )
offer a partial exchange:
- Contributing approximately 2–3 hours per day
- Supporting areas such as documentation (phone-based social media capture) and light on-site organization
- Taking part in documenting the residency through photo and video — capturing sessions, backstage moments, and the overall process
- Remaining fully engaged in the residency experience while contributing to the collective space
We encourage applicants to also explore external support, including:
- Cultural or artistic grants
- Educational or professional development funding
- Community fundraising or personal sponsorship
We are happy to provide a letter of invitation to support funding applications (upon request; note this does not guarantee acceptance).
To apply for a scholarship or a helper role, please include the following at the end of the application form:
- A portfolio (if applicable)
- A short motivation statement
- Your estimated financial contribution capacity
We are also actively welcoming scholarship sponsors who wish to support access to this work.
